Spanish Community Academy

Join us for the Santa Barbara Police Department Community Academy for a behind the scenes look at how your local police department serves the community. This free, hands-on academy gives participants the opportunity to meet sworn and professional staff, learn about patrol operations, investigations, K9s, traffic enforcement, mental health response, and more.

The Community Academy runs four Thursdays, January 22, January 29, February 5, and February 12 from 6 PM to 8 PM, and is open to community members ages 18 and older. This experience is also a great opportunity for those interested in a career with SBPD.

Participants should expect periods of walking, standing, and interactive demonstrations.
